Conference Details
LOCATION
The conference is held at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. (This is not a function of Wheaton College.) Registration, check-in, general sessions, bookstore, and appointments with faculty members are in Coray Alumni Gym in the Todd Beamer Student Center, 421 Chase Street at University Place. Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and nonprescription drugs are not allowed on campus.
The campus is physically accessible. However, we do not have the budget to provide deaf interpreters or other specialized personnel.
Campus rooms are in Fischer Hall, 600 E. Harrison Avenue, Wheaton. If you are planning to stay on campus Tuesday night, you will need to arrive at Wheaton College before 8:00 p.m. to check-in for the conference. However, the residence-hall desk will be manned until 10:00 p.m., so you may get into your room until then. The building will be closed until 2:00 on Tuesday.
Click here for a simplified campus map marked with closed roads this summer. Red lines = closed road. Yellow = buildings we’re using. Green = walking path between buildings.
TRANSPORTATION
Airport
Allow at least 45 minutes traveling time from O’Hare and 60 minutes from Midway.
Wheaton College recommends American Taxi (847-673-1000). Identify yourself as a conference participant at Wheaton College. Rates ($48 from O’Hare, $58 from Midway) are one-way, do not include driver gratuity, and are subject to change. Check the website for more information.
Ask the driver to drop you off at Fischer Hall, 600 E. Harrison Avenue, Wheaton College.
Don’t take a taxi that is already sitting at the airport; the rate will be much higher.
