- Labyrinth: The Path of Questioning for Writers—Eva Marie Everson: “When is that publishing door going to open for me?” “Why him and not me?” “Should I take this road to publication or that one?” What if God is waiting for us to hear His questions instead of these? And what if we could dig into those questions and discover the answers we’ve been waiting on or perhaps find a different path? Bring a Bible, journal, pen, the book that inspired you to be a writer, and the book you’ve returned to time and again on your journey.Come prepared to listen, write, and share. At the end, you will not only know the hows of writing but the why as well. After you register for the conference, email Eva Marie at PenNhnd@aol.com with “WTP Labyrinth Practicum” in the subject line for tips on preparing your heart and mind for this class.
- Independent Publishing Boot Camp—Athena Dean Holtz: Learn the pros and cons of self-publishing, how to evaluate your options, basics of formatting and cover design, e-book options, and marketing.
- Advanced Career Track: Social-media Marketing—Edie Melson: Prerequisite: one book published or under contract or at least 75 published manuscripts, not counting reprints. Social-media platforms and interfaces are changing at almost a daily rate. And yet, this medium is still critical for published writers wanting to stay connected with their audiences. Instead of always running to catch up, learn how to organize your focus, time, and method to remain on track no matter what happens.
