Each year, the Write the Publish Conference offers a limited number of scholarships to those with financial need who would not otherwise be able to attend.

*Please don’t apply if you’ve previously been a recipient of a scholarship to WTP.

Amounts of the following scholarships vary: 

Linda Gilden Scholarship — Specifically for writers of articles, especially (but not limited to) individuals who have not written a book. In memory of Linda Gilden, who loved teaching writers and always reminded us that articles are important. 

JEB Scholarship — Scholarships for young writers, in memory of Jeb Bridgeman. If you’re 25 or younger*, apply for this one. 

540 Writers Community Scholarship — 540 Writers Community works to bring quality education to every writer, particularly focusing on underserved writers who experience barriers to attending a conference.  

Christian Writers Institute Scholarship — Scholarships for CWI participants. If you’ve ever taken a class (free or paid) with CWI, or if you’ve participated in one of our virtual events, you can apply for this scholarship. 

General WTP Scholarship — If none of the special circumstances above are applicable, apply for this scholarship.

Cec Murphey Full Scholarship — Includes registration (plus meals and all events) and a shared on-campus room for four nights. Cecil Murphey has provided several scholarships as part of his ministry to invest in future writers. For more information about Cec, click here.

*If you are under 18 years of age, you MUST have a parent or legal guardian willing to attend with you. They are welcome to apply for a scholarship.

NOTE: Scholarships are for expenses at the conference and do not cover travel to or from the conference.
