How can someone get the most out of writers conferences?
With so many classes, it’s hard to choose the best ones. I suggest ordering all the classes to listen to after the conference is over. I encourage writers to bring business cards, copies of the first chapter of their work-in-progress printed out, a one-sheet, and a book proposal, if possible. Make lots of friends, and network. Get your work critiqued by one of the faculty members and attend the critique sessions. Go to all the general sessions, including worship and devotions; and don’t miss any meals.
Have an amazing time!
Tell us about your publishing house.
Brimstone Fiction is a traditional, royalty-paying publishing house that specializes in speculative fiction in both the Christian and general markets.
Brimstone Books and Media seeks to publish/produce all other fiction genres, as well as screenplays, audiobooks, songs, future films and their soundtracks.
Brimstone Fire is our hybrid publishing program. We work with authors to achieve their publishing dreams with a print-on-demand model, rather than having to purchase their own print runs.
Please give us a snapshot of your classes at Write-to-Publish.
“Your Writing Legacy: What Happens to Your Work After You Die:” Our stories are like our babies. We want them to live on after we’re no longer around. We want them protected with a successful future. This workshop discusses ways to preserve our intellectual property to be enjoyed by generations to come. Don’t let your work die with you.
“Top 10 Characteristics of Best-selling Books:” Have you ever asked yourself what bestsellers have that your books don’t? Discover traits to implement into your own writing to get your book to the tops of the lists.
